I "think" (touch wood) this is because of the gamepad and the fact the game was really designed for the G25. My friend had a G27 hooked up and I never had that pendulum effect when driving, as the inputs were 1:1, rather than 500:1 with an added auto-steer affect.
That's true, about not having to go back quite as much. But don't you agree the Forza menus are a bit quicker? And also, when you buy a part in Forza it is fitted automatically. Having to press x 3 times to buy and fit a part on GT5 gets annoying.
Yes I bloody want it fitted or I wouldn't have bought it.
Since it was already guessed correctly, Erik, does it really matter that I couldn't have gotten it right?
I await more modern cars which appear when I am not out/at work.
So what? I've never seen higher than 55 and that was about 3 weeks ago, when I was photoshopping while watching Youtube (at least that's what I call xvideos) and it hit 54.
Stock cooler with a load of dust as I found about a week ago when I put a new HDD. Dusteh dusteh. Since then I've not installed SpeedFan or similar on my new OS :sadbanana
Was playing this for the easy-bigbuck challenges and while it's still a nice game to play, I couldn't sit there for hours like I could with Forza 3.
The UI just isn't as nice. Some customization features which are present in Forza 3 are not even thought of in GT5. As a game for car enthusiasts (as in, the type of people to polish their 1958 Mustang all day), GT5 is probably the game for you. The graphics are nicer, at least on the "premium" cars and the dashboards are fairly good.
Forza though is very close on the graphics front but hey.
A very appropriate picture. Nice to see my vacation to have the forum so it can be "without children for a while" has resulted in an equally-as-child-infested forum as before.
The 944 Turbo S (according to the figures I can find) does 0-60 in 5.6 seconds which is exactly 0.1 seconds quicker than the S2000. In that case it will be down purely to the driver. The 944 Turbo S does the standing 1/4 in 13.9 seconds, exactly 0.1 seconds slower than the S2000 (US Spec, slower than JDM/Euro). - times from here
In gear roll ons will be to the Porches strength but then that's not what the VTEC unit is designed for. Quote weight distributions all you like, there is more than weight distribution to a cars handling ability. Porsche 911, for example?
No doubt the 944 Turbo is a good car, still quite quick and perfectly able; but I have to say I think that a S2000 is a better, faster car and probably quicker around a track. And unfortunately unless we can find a test where is an S2000 and a 944 Turbo racing around a track, in the same conditions, with the same drivers, same tyres, it would be best for the sake of avoiding an internet debate if we just agree to disagree.
